As lakhs of students across the country are waiting for the announcement of JEE Main 2021 and NEET 2021 entrance exam dates, it is expected that the Union Ministry of Education would take a final call on conducting the two remaining editions of the JEE Main (engineering entrance examination ) and the NEET (medical entrance test) in the coming weeks.
According to reports, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to submit its proposal to hold JEE Main 2021 and NEET 2021 entrance exams before Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Tuesday (July 6). Pokhriyal would take a decision on new entrance exam dates for JEE Main 2021 and NEET 2021 based on the propisal submitted by the NTA.

The petition was filed by Deepa Joseph, an advocate, social activist also the mother of a class 10 student.
She said that the boards are unjustified in keeping the collected amount as exams for classes 10 and 12 have been cancelled.
New Delhi: A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in Delhi High Court seeking a refund of the examination fees from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and other boards to the students registered for classes 10th and 12th board examinations, which were canceled this year in view of COVID-19 pandemic.
A civil writ petition submitted by a lawyer stated that it is unjustified for the board to kwwp the sum collected from students as examination fees for Class 10th and 12th board examinations that have got cancelled.

A civil writ petition in the nature of Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been moved in Delhi High Court seeking direction to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and others to refund the examination fees to the students registered in classes X and XII for appearing in Board examinations that have been cancelled for this year.
The petition submits that the Respondent is totally unjustified in keeping the money collected from students as examination fees for Class X and XII board examinations that have got cancelled. It is safe to assume that CBSE has received Crores of rupees as examination fees, plea states.
