The Horowhenua District Council is seeking applications for its
Community Support Grant program to assist non-profit organisations meeting criteria with projects, events and costs associated with responses to the COVID-19 pandemic and support for community recovery.
A sum of $160,000 has been set aside this 2020 / 2021 financial year.
Funding awarded will vary, but the average grant issued will be between $500.00 and $3,000.00 but with no cap.
Program Criteria
Reduced social isolation and/or increased connectedness of people within the community.
Increased participation in communities and social connectedness through collaborating organisations and people working together to achieve a common purpose.
Improved health and general wellbeing of vulnerable sections of community.
