Motorcyclist hospitalized after serious collision on Block Line Road

  KITCHENER A motorcyclist was taken to an out of town hospital in serious condition following a collision on Block Line Road in Kitchener. Block Line Road was closed in both direction from Courtland Ave. East to Fallowfield Drive shortly after 4 p.m. until around 8 p.m. after the “serious collision” that police say involved a motorcycle and a motor vehicle. Police were flying a remote piloted vehicle in the area, near Lewis Lennox Way, to assist with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing. UPDATE: Roads in the area have now been reopened. Kitchener sets up one-way parking system at McLennan Park

  KITCHENER The City of Kitchener says the parking lots at McLennan Park were overwhelmed from people wanting to use the park. The City has set up a temporary, one-way parking system to ease congestion. Residents are asked to enter McLennan Park at Block Line Road, and exit onto Ottawa Street South. Both ends will be staffed. The City says it’s not meant to limit the number of people in the park. Overflow traffic will be directed to nearby lots, such as the Lions Arena parking lot. Share:
