Burdwan blast case: Jamat-ul-Mujahideen B desh chief gets 29 yrs jail
New Delhi, Feb 10 (UNI)The Kolkata NIA court on Wednesday convicted Jamat-ul-Mujahideen, Bangladesh(JMB) chief Kauser aka Boma Mirzan in Burdwan blast case and sentenced him to 29 years of imprisonment.
Kauser, a resident of Shekharbhita village under Jamalpur police station in Jamalpur district under Maymansingh division in Bangladesh, was booked under sections 120B and 125 of IPC, Section 16, 18 and 20 UA (P) Act, Section 25(1B) of Arms Act and Section 14 of Foreigners Act, 1946 and sentenced to imprisonment for 29 years with a fine of Rs 35,000.
The accused was the head of JMB (Jamat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh) in India, a proscribed terror outfit and he was also a charge-sheeted accused in another NIA Case related to Bodh Gaya Blast in Bihar which took place in January, 2018.
