“There will be commemorative masses from Batanes to Mindanao that will be celebrated simultaneously. In some areas that are under the modified general community quarantine, the local government has allowed the holding of processions and motorcade,” said Rev. Fr. Quiapo Church Rector Monsignor Hernando Coronel said parishes in the Archdiocese of Manila will also have their own fiesta Mass on Saturday in honor of the Black Nazarene.
“I appealed earlier to Bishop (Broderick) Pabillo for parish priests to celebrate fiesta Masses in their parishes,” he said Wednesday.
“They’ll have one fiesta Mass. The time depends on the parish. They can attend there,” added Coronel.
He said parishes in other dioceses like Cubao, Pasig, Paranaque, Caloocan, and Novaliches will also hold fiesta Masses.
“Even in the provinces. They have novena Masses and fiesta Mass,” Coronel said.
