In 2017, the council approved a 96-bed care facility on the 8.3 hectare site, later adding a pool, hairdressing salon, cafe and offices. Now further expansion is on the horizon with Churches of Christ in Queensland proposing a complementary development to the existing residential care facility on 211 Parklands Boulevard, Little Mountain. There would be three new buildings and a men s shed should the proposal be successful, with the construction to be delivered in several stages. The first building would consist of 32 one-bedroom units and eight two-bedroom units. There would also be eight one-bedroom units and two two-bedroom units as a residential care facility.
