The City of Lewiston will receive a $30 million grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to revitalize its Tree Streets neighborhood. The neighborhood is made up of 30 blocks between Kennedy Park in downtown Lewiston and the Colisee; it’s extremely diverse with many African immigrants, but it also has one of the highest concentrations of family poverty in the state.
