GUWAHATI: The voters turnout in the second phase of the State Assembly election held on Thursday is 80.96 per cent, the latest update by the Election Department, Assam said. As many as 39 LACs of 13 districts went to poll in the second phase.

House members were not given bonuses in $1.9T COVID bill
CLAIM: The $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill awards a $25 million bonus to members of the House of Representatives.
Nomination papers of 284 candidates are valid for the first-phase Assembly election to be held in 47 LACs (Legislative Assembly Constituencies) across 12 districts on March 27, stated State Election.
