Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) announced yesterday that it funded projects worth more than $530m during 2020 through humanitarian and development aid, which were distributed over several essential sectors, namely education, health, economic empowerment, infrastructure, and climate change.
This came in the Fund’s annual report for 2020, in which it reviewed the continuation of its efforts in support of development and relief issues in developing countries.

QFFD, Qatar Charity launch new medical projects in northern Syria

Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and Qatar Charity (QC) implemented several health initiatives in northern Syria to alleviate the suffering of the displaced by providing them with the necessary health care.
The implementation of these initiatives comes within the framework of the agreement concluded between both QFFD and Qatar Charity.
With funding from QFFD, Qatar Charity has recently launched many medical projects through its Turkey office as part of the “Quest Health” initiative. These projects, which included operating six health facilities in different parts of northern Syria, aim to improve the health situation and provide integrated services to the displaced.

Qatar Charity (QC) and Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) signed a grant agreement to support urgent relief in northern Syria as part of the Quest Health initiative.
The move came in view of the problematic humanitarian situations of the displaced, the severe humanitarian needs, the damage to most medical facilities and other health services essential for daily life, the absence of many primary health services, the scarcity of necessary medicines and vaccines, and the lack of equipped hospitals.
