Tuesday morning’s widespread rainfall across Southwest Colorado is expected to break up into isolated rainfall and snow in the high country Tuesday afternoon. A chance of isolated rain showers in lower elevations and snowfall in the high country returns late Wednesday afternoon.

A spring snowstorm is expected to move into Southwest Colorado on Saturday morning, bringing a boost to the region’s depleting snowpack levels in the high country.
Erin Walter, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Grand Junction, said Friday night into Saturday should remain clear, but with temperatures dipping below freezing.

Animas River Days to return this year Durango’s Animas River Days will return in June after having to be canceled in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Durango Herald file Escuchar en Español:
Durango’s Animas River Days is back on, according to event organizers.
Every year since 1983, the river-running festival has been held in Santa Rita Park at the Durango Whitewater Park. It features several events throughout the first weekend of June and culminates in the infamous river parade.
