Mounties allege an Edmonton-area man posed an imminent threat to the public after espousing “extremist” views online, and have charged him with a slew of weapons offences, including possession of explosives and police gear.
In a news release Thursday, police said 26-year-old Kelvin Gregory Maure of Parkland County “presented a threat to critical infrastructure, police, and the public.”

Maure was arrested at a home near Spruce Grove in February. Police later seized homemade explosives as well as multiple guns including two prohibited AK-style rifles.
