The Greek MP had served as Greece’s Deputy Tourism Minister from July 2019 until the government reshuffle that took place in early January 2021.
Konsolas has a 19-year academic career during which he developed teaching, administrative, research and authoritative action in higher education.
“I have been a member of the family of the Aegean University for a long time. It is a great honor for me to be elected a professor by colleagues from different Greek and foreign universities that positively evaluate my work,” Konsolas said in an announcement.

Since we’ve heard that school exams - in their present form - are cancelled, it’s easier to say what we don’t know than we do - currently details are thin on the ground.
Many teachers are betting that schools will be asked to hold some sort of standardised exam later this year - and Ofqual is expected to announce this shortly - but doubts remain around how this could be done fairly.
