Only 1 available The Doors is the eponymous debut album by American rock band the Doors, recorded in August 1966 and released on January 4, 1967 (although the album was available in various record stores in New York City as early as the third week in December 1966 as part of a special promotion). It was originally released in different stereo and mono mixes, and features the breakthrough single Light My Fire , extended with an instrumental section mostly omitted on the single release, and the lengthy song The End with its Oedipal spoken word section. The Doors credit the success of the album to being able to work the songs out night after night at the Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood California, and the London Fog nightclubs.
The Cry of the Heart is due out on Aug. 21 through Fat Possum Records.
Smith’s husband, Marty Stuart, produced her new record, and is a songwriter on the project. Though it will be Smith’s first release in 10 years, the Country Music Hall of Fame inductee is described as being “at her finest” on the album in a press release.
Smith keeps with her tradition of poignant songs expressing pain and heartbreak on this album, setting the stage for what is to come with the first single, “Look Out Heart,” co-written by Stuart and his longtime drummer, Harry Stinson. As she explains in a press release, We all have these experiences in our hearts, and I’m trying to identify and communicate with people so they know they’re not alone.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of 2021 features a list of 13 inductees, including Tina Turner, JAY-Z, Foo Fighters, Carole King, Todd Rundgren and The Go-Go's.

Country Music Hall of Fame member Connie Smith will release her new album
The Cry of the Heart via Fat Possum Records in 2021. The album’s first single, the rollicking “Look Out Heart,” is out now.
Written by Smith’s husband Marty Stuart with Fabulous Superlatives drummer Harry Stinson and produced by Stuart, “Look Out Heart” is a spunky-but-suspicious tune propelled by a shuffling backbeat and walking bassline, accented by slinky electric guitar B-bending. “I promised you the last time there’d never be a next time/Look out heart, here we go again,” Smith sings, addressing a lover that she can’t seem to shake loose.
