New shipbuilding jobs portal a game changer for jobseekers

Department of Defence The Morrison Government’s Naval Shipbuilding College has joined forces with Australia’s defence industry to create an online jobs portal showcasing the breadth of opportunities generated by the Government’s booming naval shipbuilding program. Minister for Defence Industry Melissa Price said the new JobsPortal would make it easier for Australian jobseekers to move into exciting careers in the shipbuilding sector, with opportunities ranging from trades to PhDs. “By 2030 about 15,000 workers across the country will be employed in Australia’s National Naval Shipbuilding Enterprise, carrying out the largest regeneration of our naval fleet since the Second World War,” Minister Price said.
