To take the help of National Remote Sensing Centre for study
The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) is planning to take the help of the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) for airline mapping of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshwadeep to get a better picture of the ocean floor, also called ‘bathymetric’ study.
“NRSC has already done a similar high resolution topographic Airborne Laser Terrain Mapping (ALTM) for entire coastal areas of the country and we are in the process of integrating the data for a 3D multi-hazard mapping of both the east and west coastline for a more precise picture of the ocean floor,” said director T. Srinivasa Kumar, in an exclusive interaction.

Invite stakeholders to share their insights during a virtual consultation. With a vision to make Telangana a commercial hub for all space-related products and services, the state government has decided to formulate a Space-tech policy framework.
To formulate Telangana’s SpaceTech Policy Framework, the state government has invited all relevant stakeholders -hardware start-ups, analytics start-ups, academia, etc., to share their insights during a virtual consultation.
Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Telangana, has said, “Telangana is creating a holistic framework to develop end-to-end SpaceTech ecosystem in the state and attempt to capture the emerging global opportunities in space-related investments and innovations. This can potentially create a trickle-down impact on other areas of innovation, such as universal connectivity and big data analytics for agriculture, remote education, disaster management, etc.”

KURNOOL: Kiran Naik, a government college lecturer, is an inspiration to many. His students are now in a good position, thanks to his motivation. He played a crucial role in shaping the future of many tribal students. Kiran Naik, a native of Sanjeeva Nagar Thanda in Nallamala forest of Atmakur mandal, is now working as a lecturer at Government Model Residential Polytechnic for Tribals in Srisailam. He has received National Award of Excellence Leadership and Management recently from the Angel Global University in Kakinada.
Kiran has been persuading parents of the tribal children to get their wards educated and improve their living standards. To a query, he said it is of grave concern that many seats in higher education go vacant as the tribals do not come forward to join technical courses. He, however, said it is his life mission to encourage tribal youths to focus on studies to achieve success in their career path.
