Manipur Ranks 1st Among Northeast States in India Innovation Index 2020
According to the second edition report of NITI Aayog, Manipur scored 41.18 for high expenditure on science, tech, environment and high public expenditure on R&D

Manipur secured the first position among the Northeast states and emerged as the best performer among all states with a score of 41.18, on the strength of its high expenditure on science, technology, and environment and high public expenditure on research and development, according to the second edition report of NITI Aayog. Manipur stood at the third position among the NE & Himalayan states.

In the recently released government think tank Niti Aayog’s National Innovation Index, Delhi government schools have topped the list. The government-aided schools in Delhi have achieved the highest National Achievement Survey (NAS) score. This achievement has been lauded for being the landmark transformation of the government school system.

JAMMU, Jan 20: Jammu Kashmir has been ranked at the bottom in the NITI Aayog’s Innovation Index, released today, covering all the States and Union Territories across India.
Among the Union Territories, Delhi tops the ranking in all the groups , followed by Chandigarh whereas Lakshadweep and Jammu Kashmir occupy the last two positions in the group respectively.
Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Kerala have been ranked as the top five States while Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Bihar are at the bottom of the innovation index, released today by the NITI Aayog’s Vice-Chairman Rajiv Kumar and Amitabh Kant.

Central government think tank NITI Aayog has appreciated the landmark transformation of the government schools as they have secured the top score in the think tank s India Innovation Index 2020.
The index said that given the high income levels of Delhi and the transformation of the government schools system, Delhi has reported the highest National Achievement Survey (NAS) score of 44.73.

Kapurthala, December 23
Pushpa Gujral Science City in association with the Himachal Pradesh State Council for Science, Technology and Environment, celebrated National Mathematics Week by organising online workshops.
As many as 900 students from different schools of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab participated in various events.
Kamlesh Kumar Pant, Principal Secretary, Environment, Science and Technology, Government of Himachal Pradesh, was the chief guest.
He said the Himachal Government was conscious of the need to strengthen teaching of mathematics in schools as the subject cuts across all other subjects, including science, engineering, economics, commerce and social sciences.
He said the main objective of organising this event was to highlight the development, assembly, implementation of teaching and learning materials for mathematics and other related areas in research.
