The aim of the meeting was to boost the formation of Farmers Producer Organization (FPO) across states. Briefing about the content of the meeting, NCDC Managing Director said to Indian Cooperative that NCDC and Nabard are going to help form thousands of FPOs across India. There will be a Credit Guarantee Fund of up to Rs 1,000 crore in NABARD with equal contribution by DAC&FW and NABARD and Credit Guarantee Fund of Rs.500 crore in NCDC with equal contribution by DAC&FW and NCDC for providing suitable credit guarantee cover to accelerate flow of institutional credit to FPOs by minimising the risk of financial institutions for granting loan to FPOs.

National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) and Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (S-VYASA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to set up Yoga wellness centres and naturopathy facilities throughout the country with the help of local cooperatives.

New Delhi: National Cooperative Development Corporation, NCDC, a finance sector power house for cooperatives under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, and, Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (S-VYASA), the unique Global Yoga University of Bengaluru have joined hands to give a big boost to setting up of Yoga Wellness Centres and Naturopathy Facilities across the country through cooperatives. Both the organizations entered into an Memorandum of Understanding to pursue these goals through cooperative societies.
Speaking on the occasion the Union Minister for AYUSH Shri Shripad Yesso Nayak said that the arrangements made by the two premier institutions is very timely and would benefits of Yoga to rural areas. He observed that his Ministry supports such initiatives aimed at strengthening of efforts in Indian health systems, including Yoga which is a global movement.
