AHS seniors earn College Board recognition | News, Sports, Jobs

Collin Lightfoot Four Alpena High School Seniors were recognized with the National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program from College Board. Amelia Berles, Jade Gray, Alexis Jones, and Collin Lightfoot were recognized by the College Board for their overall academic career and performance on last October’s NMSQT. The College Board National Recognition Programs create pathways to college for students from underrepresented communities by awarding them academic honors and connecting them with universities across the country. To be eligible for this program, students must take the PSAT/NMSQT in October of their junior year, achieve the minimum requested PSAT/NMSQT score, earn a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher by the middle of their junior year, and attend school in a rural area or small town.
