Lincoln student wins grand prize in national read-a-thon

Fourth-grade Lincoln Elementary student Alan Lucas spent his winter break reading, earning himself a nice Christmas present.
Alan read a total of 57 books and completed 1,313 literacy activities to become one of 10 grand prize winners in the National Imagine Language & Literacy Winter Read-a-Thon. The prize? A Fire tablet and solar-powered backpack, as well as a $50 Amazon gift card for his teacher Lallaine Hauser.
