Retail inflation for farm, rural workers rise marginally in March

Synopsis Point-to-point rate of inflation based on the CPI-Agricultural Labourers and CPI-Rural Labourers increased to 2.78 per cent and 2.96 per cent in March 2021 from 2.67 per cent and 2.76 per cent, respectively, in February 2021, the labour ministry said in a statement.

Retail inflation for farm workers and rural labourers rose marginally to 2.78 per cent and 2.96 per cent in March, mainly due to higher prices of certain food items.
Consumer Price Index-Agricultural Labourers (CPI-AL) and Consumer Price Index-Rural Labourers (CPI-RL) had stood at 2.67 per cent and 2.76 per cent, respectively, in February 2021.

On International Women s Day, an Alliance Air all-women crew operated the inaugural Delhi-Bareilly flight. The flight landed at the recently constructed Bareilly Airport, Uttar Pradesh and was given a water-cannon salute.
The Trishul Military Airbase in Bareilly was upgraded for commercial flight operations under the government s RCS-UDAN scheme. Last year, the government had awarded Alliance Air the Delhi-Bareilly route under the UDAN-4 bidding process. The airline is flying its ATR 72 600 aircraft on this route.
