Scotswoman of the Year: Looking back at landmark event as we prepare to announce 2020 winner

Over the decades, we have marked the achievements of a breathtakingly impressive list of women, from lifesavers to life changers, from business leaders to charity champions, artists to inventors. Guest speakers have included future Prime Ministers, Scotland’s top entertainers and even royalty - HRH Princess Anne, the Princess Royal attended our silver jubilee. In recent years we have introduced a second award, Young SWOTY, which pays tribute to young women aged between 12 and 21, who are already making their mark on Scottish society. Talented trio to light up Scotswoman of the Year as event goes digital for first time

I HAVE seen absolutely no evidence of gritting anywhere around Holmhead Place.  I have balance and co-ordination difficulties and learning difficulties. The nearest grit bin to my house is allegedly on Tankerland Road. halfway up a steep incline. I am INCAPABLE of getting grit so I am now TRAPPED in my apartment. I am absolutely furious. The council have proven that they do not care about people in my position.
