SKIPTON Morrisons has praised its customers for their generosity in helping the store donate food and other household items worth over £1,090 to Craven food banks over Easter. These invaluable donations are sent out to vulnerable families and individuals across the district through food bank services in Skipton, Settle, Hellifield, Bentham and Ingleton. This past year has put a tremendous strain on people. They may have lost their jobs, need to look after their extended family, have had to feed the children while they have been home schooling or may have been unwell themselves. Phil Sage, manager of the Skipton food bank, has said they have been extra busy over this past year and it s thanks to the team of volunteers and the generous donations from members of the public and local supermarkets that have kept many struggling families fed on a daily basis.
