DUBAI, 15th March, 2021 (WAM) DIHAD International Scientific Advisory Board DISAB has granted His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, The 2021 DIHAD International Personality Award for Humanitarian Relief as a gesture of international gratitude for His Highness’s continuous support and dedicated efforts in reinforcing humanitarian aid internationally, and as a token of appreciation for the UAE’s leading role in providing necessary medical aid and support for people around the world, especially in light of the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
ABU DHABI, 4th February, 2021 (WAM) Peter Maurer, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), lauded the international humanitarian and development initiatives of the UAE, stressing that they consolidate solidarity in terms of urgent humanitarian issues and mobilise support for victims of disasters and crises.
He added that the UAE has always been a key supporter of the ICRC’s various programmes and humanitarian operations while highlighting the growing role of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) in providing humanitarian aid in all.
