Clare Councillors Call For Maximum Income Threshold For Social Housing To Be Re-Examined 11th May 2021 Clare Councillors are calling for maximum income thresholds for social housing in this county to be re-examined. Under limits set back in 2011, the most a single person can earn in Clare to qualify to apply for a council house is €25,000 – with small percentages added for dependents and other adults in each household. The maximum income threshold in neighbouring counties is €30,000 or above, including in the likes of Limerick, Kerry and Waterford. Clare FM Text 086 1800 964 26th April 2021 Clare Councillors are calling on the Health Minister to ensure victims of domestic violence have access to free psychological supports when needed. It comes after a Joint Policing Committee meeting here heard this month that more than 100 domestic incidents were recorded in this county in the first three months of this year. A largely positive note has been struck by Clare Councillors following a behind-closed-doors briefing given to them by ESB management this week. Earlier this month, the company announced a multi-billion euro plan which will include an offshore wind-farm and is expected to result in a massive jobs boost for the area.
