By Rachel LeishmanMar 16th, 2021, 5:06 pm Theatre was one of the first things to shut down due to Coronavirus, and it is one of the last things to be able to open back up (and for good reason). The theatre scene in New York City, especially, is one that thrives on the energy of the audience, and when you have to sit six feet apart, that either makes a show financially impossible or severely diminishes the audience that can participate. Things are changing, though. As more and more people are being vaccinated daily, it finally feels like we’re approaching the possibility for theatergoers to return to shows, but what is going to work out well for audiences this summer is the return of outdoor productions, namely the Public and their annual Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacourte Theater in Central Park.

The Public Theater shared the exciting news on March 16. The season was canceled last year due to the coronavirus crisis. Police: Man, woman arrested after carjackings lead to SWAT standoff in Villa Park

Updated 2/20/2021 9:21 PM A man and woman were arrested in Villa Park after an hourslong standoff at a motel following two Chicago carjackings, police said Saturday. Villa Park Police responded to the Motel 6, 10 W. Roosevelt Road, to assist the Chicago Police Department in investigating two carjackings that happened in Chicago on Friday.   Chicago police said a 20-year-old man was walking to his 2010 white Nissan Maxima in the 3700 block of West Chicago Avenue about 12:51 p.m. when multiple people approached him, displayed a gun and demanded the keys to the car. The two offenders then took off in the car, police said.
