The body of a Cape Girardeau woman was found Monday in a sparsely wooded creek bank.
Cape Girardeau police officers late Monday morning discovered the body of 27-year-old Kadesia Harris from Cape Girardeau in that sparsely wooded creek bank just west of a parking lot in the 1200-block of South West End Boulevard.
The Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad reconvened early Tuesday morning and is currently investigating multiple leads pertaining to this case.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Police identified the woman found dead in a sparsely wooded creek bank on Monday morning, February 1.
Police said the victim was 27-year-old Kadesia A. Harris, of Cape Girardeau.
The cause of death was ruled as a self-induced drug overdose.
An autopsy was conducted Tuesday afternoon.
She said she also had many, many friends.
“I’ve had hundreds of calls from people giving their condolences and I really appreciate the support,” Jackson said.
