Plywood was placed on the lower windows of the Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police Station at 129 N. Pennsylvania Ave. in Jersey Shore after a Clinton County man shattered them during an incident on Tuesday afternoon.
JERSEY SHORE A middle-aged Clinton County man allegedly smashed three windows to gain access to the Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police Department station Saturday night, all in the name of proving a point about alleged police corruption.
Aaron Hall, 40, of 1559 Sulphur Run Road just east of Avis, was subsequently stunned with an Electronic Control Device (ECD) and transported to Geisinger’s Jersey Shore Hospital for a head injury he suffered when he fell to the ground.
Frank Rittenhouse Gourley, 80, of New Oxford, passed away on Jan. 10, 2021 holding the hand of his beloved wife of 40 years, Lavania.
Frank was born to the late John âJackâ F. Gourley Jr. and Addie Lee âTootieâ Rittenhouse Gourley on May 10, 1940, in Baltimore, Md. He is survived by his brother Donald âDonâ C. Gourley of Baltimore, Md., and is preceded in death by his brother John F. Gourley III and twin brother Thomas âTomâ L. Gourley.
Frank is survived by three daughters and two sons, Madison Bigelow (husband Lee) of Frederick, Md., Lisa Willet (husband Eric) of New Oxford; Jacquelyn Gourley Dietrich (husband Scott) of Downingtown, Pa., Fitz Gourley of New Oxford, and Jed Orndorff of Hanover, Pa. Frank had children over two generations and built a strong family of âhers, mine, and oursâ culminating in daughters Lisa and Madison with wife Lavania. The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook Wednesday for the Southern Pennsylvania and New Jersey area. Heavy rain and strong winds are expected late Thursday through early Friday.
A wind advisory may also be put into effect in anticipation of high speed wind gusts. Severe thunderstorms could propel gusts of wind that reach as high as 60 mph in Southern New Jersey and Delaware.

About 17 vendors bundled in coats and wearing hats and gloves gathered along South Pennsylvania Avenue in Greensburg Sunday afternoon for the final holiday market of the year.
The event, which featured products ranging from jewelry and soaps to wine and vodka, coincided with the Holiday Open House, in which Greensburg businesses opened their doors for last minute Christmas shoppers and those hoping to support small businesses who may be struggling through the coronavirus pandemic.
Madison, NY Central School goes remote after COVID contacts

Last Thursday as I was writing the news, school at Madison Central School was still in session. Then a letter from superintendent Jason Mitchell dated Dec. 6 was posted online stating that instruction would be remote from Dec. 7-18 as three positive cases among faculty and staff resulting in 13 adults and 12 students having to either isolate or quarantine.
Mitchell stated in his letter that “the contact time with a positive person used by Madison County DOH (Department of Health) to determine the need to quarantine is 15 minutes within six feet and/or 60 cumulative minutes of contact over a two-day period.”
