Madison, NY Central School goes remote after COVID contacts

Last Thursday as I was writing the news, school at Madison Central School was still in session. Then a letter from superintendent Jason Mitchell dated Dec. 6 was posted online stating that instruction would be remote from Dec. 7-18 as three positive cases among faculty and staff resulting in 13 adults and 12 students having to either isolate or quarantine.
Mitchell stated in his letter that “the contact time with a positive person used by Madison County DOH (Department of Health) to determine the need to quarantine is 15 minutes within six feet and/or 60 cumulative minutes of contact over a two-day period.”
