When he did not resurface they began searching and were joined by members of the community. Acting Inspector Mahony said emergency crews including police arrived and searched the water but were unsuccessful. A police diving team was then called in. Divers found the man s body at the bottom of the water hole just after 8pm, close to where he was last seen. It would appear that the deceased has not hit a rock, or been caught under the water, he said.
