The Birmingham Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated will celebrate its 90th anniversary on Friday, May 28, with a virtual anniversary gala featuring a fireside chat with April Ryan, White House Correspondent for The Grio, Political Analyst and Honorary Member, moderated by Deidra K. Diaz, Southern Regional Director of the sorority and Birmingham Alumnae Chapter member.
“For the Birmingham Alumnae Chapter to be celebrating 90 years of service in the Birmingham area is a huge endeavor,” said Ellen Phillips, chapter president. “We are so excited and are honored to still be a vital pillar in the community to serve our children, as well as our adults and meet the overall needs of the community.
