4 days ago A woman has been charged with high-range drink driving after allegedly being caught more than six times the legal limit in Warrawong yesterday.  Police say the Mazda 2 was travelling along First Avenue just after 10am, when it allegedly mounted the kerb and drove along the footpath, before hitting a tree. Officers from the Southern Region Enforcement Squad attended a short time later and spoke with the driver, a 66-year-old woman. She was subject to a roadside breath test which allegedly returned a positive result. The woman was arrested and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station for a breath analysis, which allegedly returned a reading of 0.306.
