This study indicated that health professionals are affected by the high level of anxiety, stress, and depression during the COVID- 19 pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted mental health of the population particularly the health-care workers and the demand for mental health service is increasing. This study highlights the need for high quality, theory- and evidence-based interventions for the well-being of health-care workers during this COVID-19 pandemic. This study also depicted the need for support systems and coping strategies that may assist to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression among health-care workers. These strategies may be developed to target HCWs who are female, who had a medical illness, history of mental illness, those who had contact with confirmed COVID-19 patients, who lacked social support, and those who had families with chronic illness, during their routine practice.
