Hamish & Andy renew contract with Southern Cross Austereo & LiSTNR
As part of the new deal, the golden duo will continue to produce their weekly
Hamish & Andy podcast for the network, as well as launching new seasons of their nostalgic spin-off pod
Hamish & Andy’s Remembering Project.
The flagship podcast,
Hamish & Andy, will be available on all platforms, however
Hamish & Andy’s Remembering Project will be a LiSTNR exclusive until the entire third season is completed.
Once all weekly episodes of the
Remembering Project have been added to LiSTNR, they will then become available on other platforms.
The length of the contract extension is not yet clear, however it does make a continuation of a fruitful almost two-decade history between SCA and both hosts.
SCA ties podcasting duo Hamish and Andy to new deal

SCA revealed the pair will continue to produce their hugely successful weekly Hamish and Andy podcast, as well as Hamish and Andy’s Remembering Project which will exclusively be published on LiSTNR from 2022.
Their main podcast, which saw 47% growth in audience year on year across the first six months of 2021, and was Australia’s #2 podcast in June, will continue to be available across all podcast platforms.
Blake and Lee launched the Remembering Project in 2020, with the podcast seeing the pair dig into their archives from 2,500 shows across two decades to see if they can recall what was going on behind the scenes at that exact time.
SCA ramps up LiSTNR offering with 10 new music stations

Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) is continuing to expand the content available through its audio hub LiSTNR. Mumbrella can reveal the network will add ten new specialty music stations to its platform.
The expansion brings LiSTNR’s curated music stations offering to 25, as SCA continues to expand its product to complement its array of FM and DAB+ radio stations, and podcasts.
SCA head of music, Mickey Maher, told Mumbrella that continuing to add more music stations to LiSTNR is a key, ongoing part of the strategy around the centralised audio offering. “It was always part of our plan to have a strong, diverse product offering for LiSTNR [but] from very early on, we were mindful not to overwhelm well early adopters in the first instance.
Scott Muller returns to SCA in newly created head of content insights role
Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has appointed longtime radio executive Scott Muller to the newly created position of head of content insights.
Muller has an extensive background in both local and international radio, having been the inaugural program director at Nova 96.9 in Sydney. He’s also held roles within Austereo and then SCA, as content director of 92.9 in Perth and program director of Triple M Sydney.
Upon his return to SCA, the company said he will be responsible for executing its content insight strategy.
He will also work closely with SCA’s research team, SCA iQ, to distill data and research into meaningful insights, SCA said, with the goal of informing key content decisions across the Hit and Triple M Networks as well as LiSTNR.

Respected radio programmer and consultant Scott Muller has been tapped by Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) to lead the radio network’s content insight strategy in a newly created role.
Muller will become head of content insights at SCA, which will see him lead the delivery of research-driven, practical, and relevant insights across all SCA’s audio assets to the content leadership team.
Muller will also work alongside the SCA iQ team, to help generate insights in inform content-related decision making, across the Hit and Triple M networks, as well as LiSTNR. He will report directly to SCA head of corporate strategy
