According to data released by the Illinois Department of Public Health on Friday, the metro-east region has now fully vaccinated 196,610 people and administered at least one dose of the vaccine to 419,857 individuals.
Meanwhile, Madison and St. Clair counties have combined to vaccinate 334,942 people and fully vaccinated 156,312 against the coronavirus.
Overall, Madison County has administered 170,761 COVID-19 vaccines and fully vaccinated 80,179 residents, while St. Clair County has administered 164,181 vaccines and fully vaccinated 76,133 individuals.
Additionally, St. Clair County has not reported any new COVID-related deaths since Monday, and Madison County has not reported any new virus-related deaths since Tuesday.

In January, as St. Clair County started making plans to administer vaccines to residents, East St. Louis resident Patricia Parker signed her name on the county health department’s list to be notified about an appointment.
It wasn’t long before East Side Health District called her to get her and her husband vaccinated. They received the first dose of the Moderna shot at the clinic in early February.

According to data released by the Illinois Department of Public Health on Wednesday, Madison and St. Clair counties have combined to vaccinate 328,227 people and fully vaccinated 151,405 against the coronavirus.
Overall, Madison County has administered 166,980 COVID-19 vaccines and fully vaccinated 77,354 residents, while St. Clair County has administered 161,247 vaccines and fully vaccinated 74,051 individuals.
Meanwhile, the metro-east region has now fully vaccinated 190,197 people and administered at least one dose of the vaccine to 411,129 individuals.
In total, nearly 3.4 million Illinoisans have been fully vaccinated, or 27.4% state s population, according to IDPH data.
