But Angelica Lu said she’s still unsure how Chinese visitors’ vaccinations will be recognized by Canada, a sentiment shared by her customers.
“Definitely it’s good news but people are still watching,” said Lu of Westar Travel. “But they’ve saved a lot of money for travelling.”
Easing entry to Canada won’t mean much for most businesses that deal with outbound trekkers, said travel agent Heather Turner.
“But it’s just another step it shows there’s growing confidence and it’s going in the right direction,” she said.
“We’ll be allowing people in without having to quarantine and hopefully other countries will also do that soon.”
