For PC Construction, one of the largest, it was a year when the company took a significant hit – the direct result of the now year-old pandemic. “Our revenue was off 30 percent, which approximated about $130 million,” said Jay Fayette, PC Construction president and CEO. “So we took it on the chin with work either being delayed, postponed or pushed into 2021.”

The Bennington Banner will feature some of these folks in “Unsung Heroes: Incredible stories of caring during the pandemic,” a special, keepsake tabloid-sized section coming out within the June 12 edition of the newspaper. “This keepsake publication will pay tribute to some of the more inspirational people in Bennington County,” said Publisher Fredric D. Rutberg. “Throughout the pandemic, they demonstrated extraordinary courage, resilience and ingenuity aimed at helping survive this difficult time.”

The two will discuss local innovations in orthopedic care during the pandemic, including the practice s launch of the same-day surgery program for total joint replacements.   The show is produced with cooperation from Catamount Access Television (CAT-TV) and airs live at 12 p.m. on Wednesdays.
