Massive Storm Causes School Closures in Shreveport-Bossier
It has been a chaotic morning all throughout the Ark-La-Tex. I woke up to a very dark house and there was not a house illuminated as far as the eye could see. The drive into work was atrocious and I almost slid off the road several times. It goes without saying, please be safe when driving today.
We are seeing several reports of downed trees, flash flooding, and high winds. According to Southwestern Electric Power Company that there are 9,255 SWEPCO customers without power in our area.
Due to the fact that there are so many downed power lines, there are several schools that are canceling classes today.
