NEW PHILADELPHIA Normal operations have resumed in the General Trial Division of Tuscarawas County Common Pleas Court. Judges Elizabeth Lehigh Thomakos and Michael Ernest determined that the COVID-19 pandemic had abated sufficiently to rescind temporary orders related to the public health emergency.
The judges order, signed Wednesday, says the court will conduct in-person hearings and conferences, with the use of videoconference technology and telephone on a case-by-case basis.
The court will continue to accept fax filings to (330) 343-4682 and emailed filings to clerkfiling@co.tuscarawas.oh.us. The fax and emailed filings are to be accepted despite the published rule regarding court cost deposits.
