EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - After more than a year of limited vacations booked, the travel industry is finally getting back on its feet.
Plenty of Americans plan to get out and about within the next few months after being cooped up.
Airports are starting to come back to life as more people are getting vaccinated and feeling comfortable with booking those trips.
Travel agents tell us they’ve stayed busy this whole year with mainly helping people cancel trips and rebook.
State Farm agent opens Thibodaux office

State Farm Agent James Matassa and his staff recently held a grand-opening and ribbon-cutting for his new office at 403 La. 308 in Thibodaux.
He has been a State Farm Agent in Lockport since 2006. With the retirement of Mike Bednarz after 40 years with State Farm, Matassa decided to open the Thibodaux office.
State Farm allows agents performing at a top level to run multiple offices.
Matassa has qualified for several awards with State Farm, including Chairman Circle, Presidents Club, Ambassador Travel and Central Zone Vice President Club. His latest is the MDRT 2020, awarded to the top 1% of financial services professionals across the globe.
