For the Sleeping Pods on a Cliff competition, participants are tasked with creating designs for simple sleeping pods that could accommodate a couple of guests at a time. Each sleeping pod will need to include a basic sleeping zone as well as washing facilities. The location for the pods will be on the mountain rock slopes of the Vale de Moses property that cannot be used for food cultivation.

German City Installs Sleep Pods for People Experiencing Homelessness By Emma Taggart on January 25, 2021
People who are experiencing homelessness are particularly vulnerable right now. Sleeping outside during winter is unthinkable for many, never mind during a pandemic. In Germany, there are around 860,000 people living on the streets. That’s why a company called Ulmer Nest in the city of Ulm (75 miles (120 km) west of Munich) is doing what it can to help. It recently introduced a fleet to solar-powered sleep pods, providing a safe place for people to keep warm.
The futuristic-looking pods were introduced in Ulm on January 8, 2020 as part of a pilot project. If successful, the “nests” could be found across the whole of Germany. Each tiny cabin is made from wood and steel and can fit up to two people inside (or one person and a pet or luggage). They’re also waterproof, protect against th

The city of Ulm, which is about 120 kms from Munich, has taken a big step in showcasing the future of shelters by installing sleeping pods at several locations in order to protect the homeless from the cold during peak winters.
The city administration has installed durable sleep cabins that are made of wood and steel. They provide protection from rain and cold and are big enough to accommodate two people inside. Impressively, they can also circulate fresh air.
The shelters are fitted with solar panels to provide power. There is also a radio system inside them to enable people to communicate even if they don t have a cellphone.
