Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Two avalanches were reported today and were estimated to have happened sometime Monday Evening. The Department of Transportation had requested Skagway Police Chief Jerry Reddick to assist in examining the avalanches using a flying drone. The avalanche was caused by excessive snow on the mountaintops. DOT said it will take a few days for the road to be cleared. Share
