PHILIPSBURG: - Mobile and broadband customers in the Grand Case, Hope Estate, La Savanne, Friars Bay, Mont Valois & French Cul de Sac neighborhoods of Saint Martin lost connectivity during the Mother’s Day weekend due to vandalism of UTS equipment at the Pic Paradis and Mont Valois sites. The vandals damaged and removed critical equipment, knocking out communications from Saturday morning in the affected areas. Services were restored on Sunday afternoon as UTS technicians worked throughout the weekend to replace equipment and repair the damages in the shortest possible timeframe.
Charlesworth Sydney, Country Manager of UTS Eastern Caribbean, said, “We’d like to remind vandals that their irresponsible actions impact their own communities, interrupting connectivity and denying communications for families, friends, and neighbors. MARIGOT: - Residents on Saint Martin that have not yet taken their COVID-19 vaccination can now do so by walking into the COVID-19 vaccination center that will be opened as of Tuesday, May 4th at Galisbay Carnival Village.
The center will be opened six days a week from 8 am to 4 pm. There will be no need to register online in order to receive the vaccines, however, everyone must be able to provide proof of address on the French side of the island, the proof of address could be an electricity or water bill or any other acceptable bill.

If you look at all the colorful cities in the world, I will go out on a limb here and say that the densest accumulation of colorful cities can be found in Italy and in the Caribbean. But even Italy, often featured in my lists of The Most Colorful Cities In The World and The Most Colorful Cities In Europe, finds it hard to beat the many vibrant cities and harbor towns found in the Caribbean. It must have something to do with the generally happy vibe, the love of life and music, and the picture-perfect setting of most islands that invite their people to paint the town red. And pink. And blue.
