DJ dies in Couva crash by Facebook A Ch­agua­nas DJ died and three oth­ers suf­fered in­juries when the car they were trav­el­ling in crashed in­to a util­i­ty pole on Sun­day morn­ing. In­ves­ti­ga­tors be­lieve the dri­ver of the car, which crashed near the Cou­va in­ter­change, fell asleep, lead­ing to Ker­nell Alexan­der, 26 of Chase Vil­lage suf­fer­ing fa­tal in­juries. A po­lice re­port stat­ed that around 4 am, four peo­ple were in a Nis­san Sun­ny B15 trav­el­ling South on the Solomon Ho­choy High­way. One of the pas­sen­gers re­called that as the dri­ver nod­ded, the car veered off the road and head­ed to­wards the util­i­ty pole. The pas­sen­ger tried to con­trol the steer­ing wheel but the ve­hi­cle still struck the pole and crashed on the shoul­der.
