Jasbinder Singh Gahir, 58, was ordered to serve a minimum term of 28 years after jurors at Coventry Crown Court convicted him of murdering Balvinder Kaur Gahir at her home in Lillington, Leamington Spa. A trial was told Gahir, of Church Views, Maidenhead, drove to Warwickshire to carry out the killing in the early hours of August 24, 2020.

Warwickshire Police have described the man who killed his ex-wife in her Lillington home as a shocking, cold-blooded murderer, motivated by anger and greed .
Jasbinder Gahir was given a life sentence for the murder of Balvinder Gahir (known as Bally), with a minimum of 28 years before being considered for release.
Their youngest son, Rohan Gahir (23) of the same address, was jailed for three-and-a-half years after being cleared of being involved in the killing but found guilty of perverting the course of justice after driving his father from the scene.
