The Goa government has selected eight hospitals to carry the first phase of Covid-19 vaccination drive, where around 18,000 health care workers will get the Covid-19 shot, according to an official.
State immunisation officer Dr Rajendra Borkar while speaking to PTI said, each of the eight facilities will carry around 100 inoculations per day, totalling to 800 in a single day.

SRINAGAR: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Sub Inspector was killed on Wednesday after a shed collapsed at former legislator’s house in Hazratbal area of Srinagar.
Officials told the news agency KNO that a CRPF Sub Inspector identified as H C Murmu of 115 battalion was injured after a shed collapsed due to snowfall at former Hazratbal legislator Syed M Akhoon’s residence.
They said the CRPF officer deployed at Akhoon’s residence was immediately taken to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Hazratbal where doctors referred him to SK Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS).
However, Medical Superintendent SKIMS, Dr Farooq Jan said that the CRPF officer was brought dead to the hospital.

SRINAGAR/JAMMU, Jan 6: Kashmir region continued to remain cut off from the rest of the country as surface and air traffic was suspended for the fourth consecutive day due to heavy rain, snowfall and landslides even as two persons including a CRPF Sub Inspector were killed while over 100 structures were damaged as the rain wreak havoc across J&K.

Kupwara: A woman was killed and three other members of her family were injured in an accident in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.
As per reports, the accident took place in Potushie near JNV School when a vehicle (JK09B-3517) they were travelling in fell into a nallah after the driver lost control allegedly due to slippery road condition.
The woman Zoona Begum wife of Abdul Khaliq died on the spot while three others Naseer Ahmad, his wife Jameela Begum and other woman Shabeena Akther were injured and were shifted to Sub District Hospital Kupwara.
A police officer also confirmed the accident and said that a case has been registered in this regard. (GNS)
