Cadet graduates police academy to become Shelby officer

SHELBY TOWNSHIP A Shelby Township police cadet earned his badge as an officer with the Shelby Township Police Department Dec. 4 after graduating from the police academy.
Thomas Verdura, of Macomb Township, recently graduated from the Oakland Police Academy at Oakland Community College in Auburn Hills and is now the newest patrol officer at the Shelby Township Police Department.
