To overcome vaccine hesitancy, Madhya Pradesh cops are conducting random checks. While those who are vaccinated get ‘I’m patriot’ badges, others who are yet to receive Covid shot are being warned and given a poster with a skull mark on it.

Koraput (Odisha) [India], May 4 (ANI): Odisha s Machhkund police on Tuesday arrested three people and seized 1008 kg of ganja near Jalaput village in Koraput.
The value of the ganja is approximately Rs 1 crore.
According to police officials, the ganja was being illegally transported in a jackfruit-laden truck traveling to Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing media persons, Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sanjaya Mohapatra said, Police detained a jackfruit-laden truck traveling to Guntur, Andhra Pradesh which was carrying 1,008 kg of ganja. Three persons have been arrested, he added.
The ganja was found packed in several plastic gunny bags in the truck. (ANI)

Central Armed Police Forces to provide security to inner cordon of counting centres
Elaborate security arrangements have been made at counting centres at Sulthan Bathery, Mananthavady, and Kalpetta, District Police Chief Aravind Sukumar has said.
Addressing the media here on Saturday, Mr. Sukumar said security for the inner cordon of counting centres would be provided by the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).
Security arrangements at each counting centre will be supervised by a police team which includes a Deputy Superintendent of Police, a Police Inspector, two Sub Inspectors, and 32 civil police officers, Mr. Sukumar said. Security arrangements outside the counting centres will be supervised by the Sub Divisional Police Officers concerned with the assistance of a 34-member team.
