On Monday, May 3 Deputy Andre Smoot responded to a theft call where property was taken from a resident who was in the process of being evicted. Pertinent information was gathered and a report was completed for further investigation.
On Monday, May 3 at approximately 3:20 p.m. Deputy Mike Sheedy was sent to County Road 607. This was in regard to an animal bite.
On Monday, May 3 at approximately 5:31 p.m. Deputy Nicolas A. Wood was notified of a family violence offense after the fact, which had occurred at CR 605. Wood met with the victim at Vincent Street. An investigation was conducted. A report was made.
The following calls were answered by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department between Friday, April 23 and Sunday, April 25.
On Friday, April 23 Deputy Toby Mathis, responded to the FM 2632. This was for a report of aggravated assault in progress. An individual reported her boyfriend rammed his vehicle into hers. The incident was investigated and a report was made.
On Friday, April 23 Deputy Toby Mathis, met with a victim at Belfast Dr. This was in regards to a theft. The victim said a suspect took cabinet doors from her property. It was later learned another victim possibly had items taken as well. Information was gathered and two reports were made.

On Saturday, April 24 at approximately 1:50 p.m. Deputy Mike Sheedy responded to Shawnee Drive. Complainant reported known suspect(s) used his commercial grade dumpster without paying for the service in the 4100 block of Shawnee Drive.
On Wednesday, April 14, contact was made with an individual due to being passed out in a vehicle in the 6600 block of CR 551. The individual was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana under two ounces.
On Thursday, April 15 at about 9:23 a.m. Deputy Marvin Simpson responded to Starboard Dr. This was in regards to trespassing. Upon arriving on scene, Deputy Simpson was advised a suspect had pulled into the driveway at this address. The suspect does have an active trespass warning for this address. A report was made, due to the suspect not being on scene.
On Thursday, April 15 at approximately 5:36 p.m. a woman entered the Brownwood Law Enforcement Center to conduct a follow up for incidents, which have been occurring at her residence, HWY 279. These incidents all involve an unwanted person or persons on her property around her vehicle. A report was made.
On Thursday, April 8 at approximately 6:15 a.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to US Hwy 377 South and FM 58. This was in reference to a loose livestock report, which turned into an accident report and investigation.
On Thursday, April 8 at approximately 7:46 a,m,, Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to FM 45. This was in reference to a reckless driver report and investigation.
On Thursday, April 8 at 12:44 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover made contact with a complainant by phone. This was in reference to fraud. After further investigation a report was made.
On Thursday, April 8 at 1:02 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover was advised by Investigator Sgt. Carlyle Noe Gover that a wanted suspect was in the area. When confronted by deputies the suspect evaded detention, but was then apprehended. The suspect was charged with Possessing Marijuana, Evading Arrest or Detention, Possessing a Controlled Substance PG1, and possessing over 10 personal identifiers of different persons.
