Brown County deputies responded to the following calls on Monday, January 25th, making one arrest.
Deputy Mike Sheedy responded to Blarney Drive on Monday, Jan. 25 in regard to a criminal mischief complaint. After speaking with the complainant, an information report was generated and will be forwarded to the criminal investigation division.
Deputy Mike Sheedy responded to County Road 551 on Monday, Jan. 25 at approximately 11:05 p.m. This was in regard to a theft call. After investigation, an information report was generated for the theft and possible mental health issues.
On Monday, Jan. 25, Deputy Toby Mathis, received information that an individual was in the area of Ave H and 1st Street. A traffic stop was conducted on a white Ford pickup leaving the area. The individual was found in the backseat of the vehicle and arrested for the two active warrants. The individual was also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance, Tampering of Physical Evidence, and Possession of

The following calls for service were answered by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department in the last few days.
On Thursday, Jan. 14 at about 8:59 a.m., Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at the 2200 block of CR 180 in Brownwood. This was in regards to illegal dumping. Langley located a green and red pull out sofa on the side of the roadway.
On Friday, Jan, 15 at approximately 3:43 pm deputies arrived to Vick Drive in reference to moved items on someone’s property. After further investigation, a report was made.
On Friday, Jan. 15, Deputy Toby Mathis, spoke with an individual at the Sheriff’s Office. This was in regards to a threatening text message received from her brother and wanted it documented.
On Tuesday, Jan. 5 at about 07:27 a.m. Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at Gilligan’s Trail in Brownwood,. This was in regards to a theft. Langley spoke to a victim who stated two suspects were stealing water from her.
On Tuesday, Jan. 5, at about 4:19 p.m. Deputy Byron Langley, spoke with a business owner located at W US 67 in Bangs by phone. This was about a stolen firearm. Fuqua stated he was missing a pistol from his inventory.
On Wednesday, Jan. 6 Deputy Toby Mathis, responded to the 3400 block of CR 411 East. This was for a report of public lewdness. Two individuals were contacted and arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone, after methamphetamine was observed in plain view in the vehicle.
