Commissioners Court fear duplication of services in Webb County fairgrounds contracts

Webb County Commissioners Court was slated to approve the contracts for the project manager, construction manager and architect for the county fairgrounds project on Monday. But fearing a duplication of services between the parties and the high cost of the contracts, the commissioners voted to approve only the construction manager’s contract, and will hold a special meeting on Thursday to discuss the other two.
Leyendecker Construction was awarded a $2,855,640 contract for the fairgrounds, which includes pre-construction services, construction overhead, profit and general conditions charges.
